Shelves - Acrylic or Polycarbonate?

If using an online retailer, such as the link below, to cut a shelf for an Oakley single wide, do you select acrylic or polycarbonate?

Clear Plexiglass Acrylic Sheets 3/8" Thick

This is where I ordered a sheet of 3/8. I cut them into the sizes I needed. If you don’t have the tools I’d suggest visiting a glass shop and ask them the either provide you with precut material or inquire about the price of a glass shelf. Personally I’d rather have the plexi. Plexi is also called acrylic or poli methyl methacrylate.

By the way lexan is stronger but more prone to scratching. Acrylic is shinier

Either. I use Acrylic since it's cheaper. Glass would probably be the best. Curious if Lexan would resist bowing/cupping over time.

I wouldnt worry about bowing with a single wide unless you plan on displaying cinder blocks and pulling chains.
