Skaters & frogskins??

I'm curious as to why a lot of the newer Oakley releases are targeting skaters with frogskins. I'm not a skater myself so I'm not familiar with the culture or the history behind frogs and skates. Is there a reason why skaters don't dig other styles?

Frogs when they first re-released were really targeted to skate/lifestyle shops to help create buzz and demand. It's just sort of stayed that way since.
