I have seen Polished Black VW edition Hijinx before (and the only difference between them and a standard Pol Black is the etching on the lens). These could therefore be legit.

Not at hand. They were basically just Polished Black with black icon and grey lenses, with the VW badge etched in one lens.

Subaru dealers had their own as well - except they were Polished White with Ice lenses, and STI etched in the lens.

Everyone wanted a piece of the Hijinx a few years ago.

Now there's just me.

jinx don't look good on me but my first car was a air cooled vw so that is what sparked my intrest.

wonder what other "car" editions are out there

With being a VW owner for more than 25 years & also working within there dealers I was so hoping for something nice. All I can say is "Is that it". Not impressed at all. They could have done a white Jinx frame with the German flag Icon & the VW blue roundel on the ear stem or something.
