Squeaky Flak Jacket Arms. How Do I Get Them Quiet

Hey guys,
I tried the search function but it came up blank.

I just got a new pair of Flak Jackets, and one of the hinges squeaks whenever I open or close the arms.

Any thoughts on how to stop this annoying squeak? I've sat there opening and closing them around 50 times, and while the squeak temporarily disappears, a couple hours later it has returned.

Will they just quieten down in time and use?

I have had that same problem with a pair of canteens and straight jackets.
After some months of use it disappeared actually. Just a matter of use and time.

I am not 100% sure it will work with Flak. But anytime I have a square O frame I pop the arm off and then blow the dust and grime out of the sockets and no more squeaking. You might want to use a little water as well. It should work with Flak as well.

I suppose you could put Vaseline on the hinges...Mine Squeek alot too but I like the stiff hinges.

Some frames are just like that, tbh. I've had that same issue as well with frames in the past. As mentioned before, if worn long enough, then the squeak will disappear.
