Nice. I've got a pretty deep scratch on my stretchline door. Wonder if it could be buffed out with your technique

I’d get some Mothers Plastic Polish and have at it with the wheel. At the very least you could perhaps take the contrast away which is what your eye is focused on. The scratch itself may not disappear but the white appearance of the scratch can be made less noticeable. The most encouraging results are with scuffs but I’ve polished pretty hard on persistent scratches and I’ve never had any issues. Keep the pad loaded with polish and don’t allow heat to build up. That could burn the plastic and discolor it or destroy the transparency of the door.

Had to tackle two of the deepest scratches. Really pleased with the results. See how the scratch is no longer visible.

Once the scratch is gone there’s only a minor distortion looking right through it. Take notice of the letters on the newspaper . From a greater distance your eye barely even picks it up.
