Michael Jordan used to be on the Oakley board of directors and there were a number of releases with his name on them. In the context of Mars / Craters, Jordans were the version with leather wrapping.

In fact, the origin of Craters is tied to the Jordan Mars - the holes in the frame were first added for the leather stitching on the Jordan, then they thought the looked cool as-is and released them as Craters.

The first R1s and the OO frame line also have the Jordan name.

Another note on Jordan Mars - in addition to the serial on the earstem, there's a matching serial on the nosebomb mount under the nosebomb, I think the left one IIRC. Only Jordans have this.
