So the CEO's assistant gets these emails every so often from our ISP telling us that someone is pirating movies or music or something. You know the letter. Well we only have one external IP and 5 sites that share it so tracking down the offender is sometimes difficult.
A few days ago she got another one. This time it was porn. Backdoor housewives or something. I usually don't investigate too much if its just movies or music. But porn? While class is in? Nope. Not on my watch. Game on.
Computrace is not only good for tracking stolen equipment, but also generating reports on software installed. So this morning I ran a report and only one machine had any P2P software on it. I figured it can't be it, whoever is downloading porn must be using their own laptop and connecting to the wifi. They wouldn't use a school issued, state owned, laptop right? Wrong. I went to the school and found the guy. I told him that his laptop popped up on the weekly virus report and I was there to clean it up for him. He said "yeah I been getting a lot of pop ups." So now I'm thinking maybe it is him.
So. I open up the laptop. Navigate to the frostwire folder expecting to maybe find one or two movies. Nope. This dude is one horny bastard. I removed PC Optimizer Pro and the like, took a few pics, and called the HR girl to deal with it. I told dude he was all set.
Here is a little bit of what he has.
