Twoface rust on frame

Hi, I have noticed a problem with some of my twoface frames.
First I saw it on the gold frame and then on the grey one.
It looks like rust or burned.
Is this normal? Is there something I can do to fix it?

I bought that frame on ebay like 2 years ago, so no warranty for me this time.

Literally the same thing happened to my Matte Navy chrome. I got a T4 screw driver and replaced the bottom piece with another bottom I had... unfortunately it seems to be a defect of the frame.

I am going to see if I can exchange the bottom piece in store some how when I go up next week. I'll try and remember to let you know what they say when I found out.

Maybe that's what is supposed to do? The rims are made of aluminum... I'm not defending the company's workmanship, just throwing something out there.
