Also note that the seller only has a feedback score of 6, all as a buyer, and all over a year old. And since he's been a member for nine years, they could be as old as that.

Not exactly, you're still covered up to 6 months, but it does give the seller plenty of time to close all the accounts from which paypal might be able to withdraw funds. The whole thing is very fishy. I already caught a guy 2 weeks ago selling the same pair, with same pictures, and even though it said that item was in California, it would ship from Singapore 23 days after end of auction. When I told him to make a deal outside of eBay he asked for $350, and send me a money request F&F (of course i didn't do it). The auction ended over $700 and then ebay sent every who bid in the auction not to pay anything, that it was a scam. Now it reappeared under a new name. Too many red flags

Sounds like a hacked account. You should pass this info along to ebay.

Exactly, the first auction turned out to be a hacked account too. And the first one was also from an inactive ebayer, similar to this one. How is this reported to ebay?

I'd start with the "report item" link to the right in the description section. I can't sign in there at the moment.
