What color is this lens?

You are (again!) correct, as I can find no documentation to support VR28Bi offered on an M Frame.
It must be different lighting or camera angles, as some VR28 lenses look darker than others.
:hi:
I believe I have one. From the OakleyUK clearance a little while back - one was advertised, I bought it, and it's definitely a lot more reflective than any of my other VR28 examples.

Can't find my VR50 at the moment, or I'd pull that out, too.

here are comparison pictures. Top one is persimmon. Bottom is the lens in question, which we decided was vr28bi.

We decided it was VR28BI? I don't think it was an iridium lens.

And I'll reiterate; VR28BI is VERY uncommon for M Frame. I'd say it wasn't made, but I have one. It could be argued it's just a very reflective VR28, I'd need a light meter to measure it out. Or a nice sunny day (which we just had, but I'm sick so I wasn't outside).
