I enjoyed the medieval old city, but you can’t come to Nuremberg and ignore its more recent problematic past.
This grandstand overlooks the Zeppelin field and was used to hold Nazi rallies. Some people were standing up there but I didn’t want to given who had stood there in the past.
This is a large congress hall they were building to rival Rome’s Colosseum (it would have been twice the size) until WWII stopped construction. I like the pic with the BMW i3, it shows how Germany has moved on from the horrors of the Third Reich, but the background shows that past has not been forgotten.
