No, Verizon and android fight for that. Both are disabled. I use a program called handcent. It has no real benefit now. But in the early android days sms was a major battery drain. Most of my friends are on Facebook, so we use that instead of texting.

Oh, I didn't give Facebook messenger access to my texts. It is constantly asking my phone number and I tell it no.

The price tag scared me away. Phone has some dust and water resistant properties... I'm not one of those adventurous types...

Just don't crack the glass or camera lens. Friend did that and he found out the hard way it was no longer waterproof.

Camera lens is easy to do yourself, watch a JerryRigEverything. I've done it before for a friend.

I am not a DIY person... I could, but something always happen lol

But it is an alternative vs the deductible.
