What makes X-Metals so special

So I did a quick search and didn't see anything like this. Title pretty much says it all. After buying two pairs of no X-Metals Oakley's in as many weeks I wonder if my next one should be an x-metal.

How would I ever get to see a set in person without spending money sight unseen? Any in the MA area? The only ones that really stand out to me are the XS and he other's I might have rocked when I was younger in the 90s lol

Buy just a cheap pair. You will appreciate it more if they are yours. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I passed up a pair when I was in college back in 2000 or so. I regret it. I will have a pair soon.
