Dinner last night at a 1* vegetarian restaurant, Seven Swans. Supposedly the narrowest building in Frankfurt, it still rises seven storeys, with individual dining rooms on several of the floors. Though mine would only seat about 12 people, which gives a good idea of how narrow it is. Right on the banks of the Main, there’s a great view over the river.

On the whole, I really liked it. Some unusual, occasionally somewhat challenging flavours, but in well-considered combinations. The third time I’ve eaten in a starred vegetarian restaurant after Tian in Vienna and Nix in NYC. Closer to Tian in feel than Nix and probably a bit more experimental than either.
