I agree, they look like crap. Though one of your eyes looks farsighted (+) and the other nearsighted (-). So one lens is more convex and one more concave. Also are they progressive (no line bifocal)…? I'd ask for a redo if under 60 days old. If they come back the same that's what you'll get over and over.

You can always return and switch to a fullrim, flatter frame, to reduce thickness. Like mainlink, or holston.

Also, if your optician can't explain why they look like that, they don't understand optics and you should find a new shop. A lot of "opticians" in the USA aren't certified. They are just "optometry assistants" or "office staff".
