How do you get them back on? Do they snap back or need to be re-glued?

Yea you'll prob have to glue them back on, but it doesn't take much to hold them

yeah i wouldnt use more than a tiny droplet of contact cement for each plate.

Lens removal sounds terrifying

the actual process is called ultrasonic welding...it is weak on these as most plates fall off over time...superglues/ca will haze as they cure so that's out. I have a cement that works well though...great design bad end result...much like mag switch

Glad to hear it Doc, you WILL be getting a call/message from me as soon as I recieve them. I also have another pair of Plates that needs a paint touch up, so you can hopefully use those lenses as a model to cut the others, ok?

Which cement do you use? Any thoughts on using a two-part epoxy?
