X metal case logo removal

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone has had a crack at removing these from the cases? I've got one that is in desperate need of a refurb and wondered how these are held on.

Just the logo. Wanted to give it a lock of paint

i’ve removed the plastic logo before but that looks like the metal version. i wouldn’t dare in fear of breaking the thin hooks

it’s just a couple plastic pegs that were melted on the one side to lock into place. you just need to peel the round black covers off and push the pegs out. it’s probably not gonna be as sturdy putting it back together unless you re-melt the pegs or use glue

Hmmm.....maybe it would be better staying tatty than being broken. Dont want to start ripping felt up and melting plastic really. If it had been a simple pin and glued I would of given it ago. Thanks anyway.

Will masking tape stick to the fabric? You could mask the whole case and carefully cut around the logo with an x-acto knife.
