X Metal Discontinued

I was told by two different O store employees at two different stores, an email came in yesterday that once the current inventory of metals is gone, there will be no more. They still have a run in production but that is it. A new line up is coming out in 2013, I'm no collector or wearer of metals since I think I look goofy in them, I know a lot of you covet them so.... Let the hording begin!

I'm not sure if this has been posted before but I was just at my local O store and the clerk told me the entire X Metal line was discontinued. He said they were just waiting for word to send them all back to corporate.

Snatch them up while you can.

yeah it was posted here many times and everybody is aware on the fate of x-metals...oakley is coming up with a "new" line of x-metals by 2013

Yep....that's why the recent price slashing on Amazon and Altrec; stock is already dwindling on eBay because they've stopped shipping product to the dealers.

Do appreciate you taking the effort to share. Although it has been discussed on the x metal forum it may not have known by all. Appreciate you taking the time to post. We knew it was coming but now looks to be official.

I recently went to the official Oakley website, Sunglasses, Goggles, and Apparel - Oakley Official Site.
I found out that some of the x metal sunglasses have been discountinued. Whenever I go and search for either romeo, juliet, or x squared; the message "this product has been discontinued" is indicated.
Have they really stopped the production of these models?

You're about 7 years late on the Romeo and about 2 years late for the others. Run a search. There are numerous threads here about this exact topic.
