X-Metal Titanium Grade?

I am asking because I bought the cracked pair from the earlier thread. Never have I welded anything titanium but have plenty of time on steel and aluminum. I can only touch it once. No mess ups. No do overs.
I’ve got a few days to study just how to make my move.

Being I want a custom pair the weld will make them extra personal to me. I won’t mind at all

It’s most likely Grade 5. G5 is basically the go-to for consumer products, whereas all others are more for industrial, aerospace and health products. And especially since the X-metal plant’s original purpose was to make golf clubs before Oakley took over, chances are G5 is what it’s tooled for.

Titanium Grade 5 is the most commonly used Titanium worldwide. Titanium Grade 5 is alloyed with 6% Aluminum and 4% Vanadium and is commonly known as Ti 6Al-4V
