X-Squared rubber padding inside orbitals

Hey folks,

I noticed when I changed out lenses in my X-Squared frame the there seems to be a shallow recess and piece of rubber insert inside the orbitals. I dont see any info on replacements and Im curious since one side is missing on mine.

It's supposed to be there. It keeps the lenses from wiggling

Nope... not orbital gaskets. I pulled the lens out again - take a look in the groove

That is a missing orbital gasket.

So where did you find that screenshot? I'm assuming they have them for sale for $8?

The 'recess' is the lens groove in which the edge lens fits to hold it in place.
the small piece of rubber is a shim to prevent the lens from rattling around if it is slightly too small.
this shim would have been fitted in the factory and is not any sort of bodge...
