I really think the protection index varies, since it is Transitions black iridium. I believe indoors it's a 0 (less that 5% tint and iridium mirror reduces IR light) in mid light, most days they'll be protection index 2, but on the right conditions they are basically black iridium protection index 3 (under 15%vlt). They'll never get to a 4, but category 4 isn't safe for driving anyway.
