Mag Switch project. Cerakote was a bit rough. Wasn’t sure what would affect the frame, so I avoided acetone/paint thinner for mistakes. First coat was perfect, but scratched the front badly while doing test fits for the lens.

Lots of dust residue from sanding the lens down to fit, will need to use an air compressor to blow the rest out later. Usually don’t sand next to the frame, but the lenses were so difficult I hadn’t to keep doing small test fits in between.

Lenses were very finicky, had to cut them slightly smaller than the original. They are in, but the bottom edge of both sides caught on the lip and bubbled? Fortunately not affecting vision at all.

It’s really rough, but I’m happy with it. Prizm black lenses are installed, though need new stem rubbers.

I will never do this again.
