Mag Switch project. Cerakote was a bit rough. Wasn’t sure what would affect the frame, so I avoided acetone/paint thinner for mistakes. First coat was perfect, but scratched the front badly while doing test fits for the lens.

Lots of dust residue from sanding the lens down to fit, will need to use an air compressor to blow the rest out later. Usually don’t sand next to the frame, but the lenses were so difficult I hadn’t to keep doing small test fits in between.

Lenses were very finicky, had to cut them slightly smaller than the original. They are in, but the bottom edge of both sides caught on the lip and bubbled? Fortunately not affecting vision at all.

It’s really rough, but I’m happy with it. Prizm black lenses are installed, though need new stem rubbers.

I will never do this again.

Testing some custom cut Juliet orbital gaskets. Don’t have a single T6 driver in my shop though

Never was a fan of the light blue jaws on the Split. Found a beater locally, swapped the icons and bolts and added cobalt cerakote to the base. Nothing special, but worked out nicely

Looks good Bro! Nice color choice. I'm with you on the blue jaws. I had the same Polished Black w/Light Blue, Didn't like at all. Painted the whole thing 2 tone blue, still didn't like it that much...…. it's @Codechimp08 's now. :lolsign:
