Does The Penny Suffer The Same As Half X?

Hey guys, I don't think I ever put any thought into it, just noticed it when I was looking at my Pennys. Do they suffer the same ill fated hinge problems as the Half X? I notice the mechanism is slightly different, but at the same time, scarily similar.

After one pair of broken Half X's.. if it is the case, I don't think the Pennys will ever get worn.. if not the case, awesome.

The Penny holds up much better then the Half X ever thought. If you do a search you will see issues that have occurred with the penny but they are not that bad of a issue.

Yeah, it was a few searches that led to the question. I'm sure anything with multiple moving parts is gonna have some problems, just wanted to make sure it wasn't as bad as the Half X. Still very bitter about it all. Thanks man!
