Hi there,
Wondering how you attach a photo in your signature.

See below for solution.

I've tried linking a small jpeg 28 kb only via Facebook, Flickr and Dropbox without success.

I tried manually linking as well as using the "attach" media link buttons.

Can anyone walk me through it?

This is what I'm getting when I preview it. Thanks in advance.

Instructions
Find an appropriate image which you want in your signature.
Go here and upload the picture to Free Image Hosting at FreeImageHosting.net - Upload & Share Images on Social Networks, Blogs, and Galleries
(You don't need an account and you can upload it anonymously)
The site will give you a link.
Copy the part of the link that looks like this (I've highlighted it in red)....
<a href="Viewing image n6Avf.jpg "><img src="http://sl.uploads.im/t/n6Avf.jpg" border="0" /></a>

Click on "edit signature" on O.F., paste link once clicking the "picture" button.

Thanks, the problem was because the image hosting site I was using wasn't "pointing" properly to the image itself. I think that's what the problem was.

For anyone else wanting to do it, host your image file anonymously here.... Free Image Hosting at FreeImageHosting.net - Upload & Share Images on Social Networks, Blogs, and Galleries

I will update the instructions above to make it easier for others wishing to do the same.

Thanks especially to @Litos (who communicated to me via PM) and @Wesleypipesyo for all your help!

I am glad it worked. Sorry I couldn't help more. But I am just a popsicle.
