So are they after the people who download music and movies mostly? I think if they shut down the pirate sites, just like they did napster and similar ones, people will find another way to do it, just like they did with torrents. It will be a never ending cycle until the govt has total control over what we can do on the Internet. Basically what that Marxist obummer is trying to do to our country right now.

The bill goes further than just music and movie pirating. They're talking about stopping ALL "theft" of IP, which includes people using sporting events clips on youtube, putting background music on their videos, linking copyrighted works such as pictures and articles, etc.

It's over reaching by the government, trying to fix the issue of companies losing money due to piracy by putting large restrictions on the internet as a whole.

Call and email your representatives in congress. Tell them you as part of their constituency do NOT want the person who represents you to support this.

This means that if are at a party and take a video and in this video you can hear copyrighted background music and you share this video over facebook, tweeter or youtube, you could be facing piracy charges!!!!
or if in a picture you're wearing an Armani shirt and you share that pic, you could be charged for copyright infingement by the Company that has the image rights of Armani!

The vote on PIPA has been postponed, and SOPA will not be considered until it is revised. Unfortunately, these are just delays, the bills are not yet dead.
