if it is real, what generation it is.

Welcome to the forum.
The pair looks legit and it's either a 2nd or 3rd generation. Hard to tell without seeing if the serial on the earstem ends in an "A" or "B"

I'm curious. Did you get them from someone who states they work or worked or got them from someone who works or worked for Oakley?

Actually I believe they're 5th generation - that's not a serial but a model number.

By my understanding:
1st gen - serial with no trailing letters
2nd gen - serial with trailing letter A
3rd gen - serial with trailing letter B
4th gen - no serial
5th gen - model number

The packaging is also what you got with late-gen; earlier gen packaging was different.
