Splice frame help / I could use a little guidance.

Long story short- I Send these mint/- unused Splice FMJ/Crystal to RX lenses to have my ice lenses replaced with rx. -They did a great job imo on the lenses, but I immediately noticed the damage to the FMJ finish. I saw the small upper left orbital on left eye first, - then realized the upper left of right eye was separating right at the Lense. I lifted up on it slightly with a plastic pin and it broke off in one piece. There's no use in my complaining because they can't fix or replace them. They did my eye jackets prior to this w/no issues. The black finish under the fmj looks nice and clean. ...Any thoughts on how I can get these to look presentable? - 1st time posting pics, so.....

I'm no pro-but pretty sure a touch up job wouldn't cure my anal-ness. I was thinking more on the line of somehow removing the rest of it all together. It almost looks like polished black underneath.

They Can strip down and customise completely if required.

I did some searches online and found a thread that sent me right back here. Some dude a couple years back said he used formula 88 from home depot. I'm there 4 days a week and never heard of it. But lo and behold there it was. I disassembled the frame and put the uppers in a party cup filled with this red stuff. 10hrs later, I took em out and removed the clear film that was coming mostly off. I cleaned them with dawn mixed with water. They almost look like polished black now. I'm just glad I didn't send my black chromes in. -Lesson learned.

I popped lenses into my White Chrome Ten X the other day and messed up the finish. That FMJ coating is fragile when it’s old.
