Split Thump trouble

Hey, everyone. I just acquired a pair of Split THUMPs and I'm trying to get them working. They charge and are showing the green light, but they will not power on. The manual has not been helpful at all and the firmware update from the website doesn't seem to work on my Windows 10 laptop. And suggestions? Much appreciated, thanks.

Have they erased the tunes that were on there? Maybe there's nothing to play. Find a manual online and try to download some music. Doesn't hurt to try!

I put some tunes on myself and still doesn't power up. Manual hasn't helped much at all. All I know is that there's supposed to be a beep upon power on and that doesn't happen.
