Tb2 service question

Got my daily tb2 24/7 for the last 3years and a half
Being hard on it
Yesterday stop working fine
Sec stop losing a lot of minute
Did anybody had issue?
Do you service your tb2?
Going to bring to repair next week
At least got my livestrong has back up

The TB2 uses a very common ETA 2824-2 movement so just about any competent watch repair shop should be able to service and repair it.

Optimally you get it serviced every 3 - 5 years depending on usage. And by "service" that means performing maintenance on a properly working watch, like getting a oil change on your car. In this case, since you're having a problem what you need is repair, not service.

And that's the other strategy, instead of regular service just wear it until something goes wrong then get it repaired. Not optimal but plenty of people do that. Sometimes they get away with it for decades.

Well, like changing the oil in a car there is lubrication of parts in the watch movement. I also expect they'd check the rotor bearing. Replace gaskets too, perhaps? Yes @shofzr would know specifics better than I.

A better car analogy might be a complete tear down and rebuild of the entire car, engine, transmission, body.


If the watch service is done properly, the entire watch is disassembled, case, and movement down to the smallest component,
Every component inspected for wear and or damage.
Newer calibers like the 2824 warn parts are just replaced.

Same for the case.. completely dissemble Replace Every gasket, and typically the case tube, and winding crown..
