This morning during a routine upgrade, we hit a snag, and the site was down for ~20 minutes. Nothing to be concerned about BUT out of that upgrade, we do have an exciting announcement:
Push alerts for iPhones are finally here (they've existed for a while for Android, FYI). We've been waiting for Apple to offer this support for web apps for a while, and they finally have. Here's how you can get push alerts today:
Note: You must have at least iOS 16.4 installed on your phone to enable push alerts (Upgrade in your settings menu if you need to).
Adding the Oakley Forum Web App / Alerts
1) Navigate to OakleyForum.com
2) Click the Share button on the toolbar of your iPhone and scroll down and click the "Add to Home Screen" button
3) This will create an app on your home screen for OakleyForum.com - click into it, and you will need to login
4) Once logged in, click on your username and select "Preferences" from the menu
5) Scroll down and click the "Enable Push Notifications"
