What do you mean by 5% tint? Not transmission % surely? BIP is too dark sometimes at 9%. They do look very dark though. Minimum front side transmission in the UK is 70%...

yes, 5% tint means 5% light transmission.....

can't see in it at all during the day...

at night, it's not the best to look out of, but I've gotten used to it over the last decade lol....

legal tint here in the US is 35%, but my cars get the 5% treatment.....

eff tickets...I've only had to pay twice since 2004.....they're worth it...

Our rules are much like the UK's I think ... Must let 70% through on front laterals and windshield may only have a 6" strip from the top ... Everything else can be 100% opaque ...

Over here ANY tint on the windshield is illegal and anytime these police officers really want to bust chops they will break out the meter to test your tint to ensure they can give you a ticket.

I personally have never received a ticket for tints or driving with no plates also. I drive 3 cars with no plates, no stickers and have not gotten a single ticket for it.

I got pulled over a few times in my truck for window tint. The last one was a county sheriff and honestly when he asked me about my tint I told him I had no idea, it was like that when I bought it, and it was. I guessed it was 5% and he said it looked darker. I was like darker than 5%????? He pulled out a meter and yup, its darker than 5% It measured 2-3%. We had a nice chat and off I went.

i have 3% on the SRT8, but i didn't tint the front 2. my back 3 windows are actually more black than my paint since the paint has silver flake in it. lol.

we can have whatever we want if we don't tint the front 3 windows at all, or 35% all around if you do the front 2. no tint on the windshield.

i didn't tint the front 2 since i never drive with the windows up anyways or park the car where i can't see it for the most part. i pretty much never use the AC.
