New to swapping out lenses and doing some research.
I came across this old thread
I Am A Believer In Linegear!

I am having second thoughts about ordering from Linegear and aftermarket in general.. can somebody shed some light on this?

I am also confused how some makers not Oakley say they custom cut new oem lenses?

Line gear makes great lenses, you can’t go wrong with them.

As for custom cutting, allot of Oakleys has 8 degree base curves on the lenses like the x-metals, frames with bigger lenses that meet the criteria can be cut down to fit the Juliet and still be OEM lenses

Is the concern in the thread I posted valid?

Nope, not anymore, several of members use after Market and cut lenses and have no problems. The fact of the matter now is they are no longer made and discontinued by Oakley. So the only way to replace lenses is aftermarket or cutting
Which would you go with? Linegear polarized or custom cut oem polarized?

I've been away from the forum for a while but had great luck with custom cut lenses from @Chris A Hardaway for my Juliets.

I don't have any experience with Linegear or other aftermarket lenses because I try to stay OEM when possible. I did recently receive a complete rubber set in violet for my Juliet. Everything was easy to install, except the earsocks which were very tight going on.

Custom cut lenses and Linegear rubber parts on my Plasma Juliet:

Linegear have excellent iridium colours. The premium red is like the 1st gen Oakley Ruby. But, if you want the best c clarity, custom cut is the way to go. Dillon Optics are in my opinion on par with Oakley clarity and have that amazing Matte finish. Two photos for you. First is a pair I cut Oakley lenses for and the second is a Dillon lens. The Dillon lenses also need to be cut to fit.

My eyesight in the long run is what I am afraid of.
The image posted in the thread I mentioned, is this something to be concerned about?
