Anodizing X-Metals by XMC optics

Agreed but dont elaborate its either okay i like that, okay thats ugly leave it at that and put a period on it.
I mean this is thesame as a sales thread or an advertising thread putting more senseless comments
Puts the thread out of topic.
Then Make a sales thread its in a discussion thread..

you can still see the underneath bleeding through...
I'm glad you mentioned that... That is exactly the point - the finish inherits the surface condition, as has been stated at least a dozen times in at least as many ways. This is also true of all the other anodized pieces we have been DISCUSSING in this DISCUSSION THREAD where OPINIONS ARE WELCOME :D

Of course, if someone takes the time to explain something in detail, and others elaborate and clarify, multiple times, then the same questions that were previously answered are asked, in the same thread, again, and again, well... Let's just say there are opinions on at least two sides of that. ;)

In this case the finished piece inherits a very clean, new, actually, OCP Polished Juliet. I would expect anyone who has ever had one of these frames in any OEM condition to recognize that as they are made that way and the veins/patterns become more protuberant over time. You observe the natural finish shinning through as 'bleeding', which is spot on - this is the expected result, like it or not. Most folks seem to like the appearance and appreciate the other benefits of the anodized finish.
I'm not sure how or when, but I am sure someone will benefit from this DISCUSSION in the future! :drinks:

agreed with all of this......

The blue set is beautyfull in every way.

if you´re talking about the Ichiro, i personally agree..

The Ichiro is great

:D

That 'Blue/Ichiro' (clone, 7th gen, etc...) was done by the exact same anodizing process in terms of 'color', less the etching of the frame - that is the difference, once the Ti is etched the factory finish is no longer relevant (plasma, polished, X-Metal... they all become an etched Ti type of finish for the most part). In this case, if the 'Dallas Cowboys' frame was Polished instead of etched the blue areas of that piece would have been very similar to the 'Blue/Ichiro'.

id like to see a red and white bugatti limited edition juliet, with an etched "bugatti" logo on the lens

Damn I wish I never found this! So much beauty, so many finishes I want to try out! This is going to do bad things to me and my wallet, what oh what to do first, second, and beyond!
