Any Sneakerheads In The House?

Whoa been a minute since I've seen another LeBron 11 fan.

Been wanting Elites but trying to keep my streak of avoiding resale prices.

So far have the King's Pride and Gumbo of the regular 11. I actually want the Elites because they cover the bottom TPU plate from getting messed up, and because those were a foreshadowing of the 12's hex Zoom tooling, which continued to the 13 and 14.
Oh Nice!! I absolutely love the 9s (both versions), the standard 10s, and 11 (both). These are the only Lebrons that I have. The Gumbo 11 are definitely one of my favorites LeBrons. As far as resale, I haven't encountered many exorbitant prices honestly besides for crazy limited pairs.

Love my Nike Air Max 95 Sneakerboots!

Jordan Westbrook Why Not Zer0.3 "Black Cement/Infrared"

I got these a bit ago when they dropped, but since COVID, I really couldn't get an impression of them soon after. Since the Zer0.2 was one of my favorite shoes last year, I was looking out for the Zer0.3 in the right colorway. Uses a similar Flight Plate setup and textile/mesh build, and I wanted Westbrook's Zer0.3 PE that had a similar inspiration.

I kinda saw it coming with me waiting well after release, and reviews being posted in the meantime — there isn't quite the same pleasant surprise as the Zer0.2. However I think the lacing system and upper constuction took a step up. Since they turned towards internal loops like the Jordan 13, I find it comes together more nicely. Forefoot allows for more splay as well.

Could've done better with the strap. It's a rubbery and flimsy material that will yellow and seemingly stretch easily with time.

Also not big on the forefoot medial coverage. It doesn't have to be rounded like a Kyrie, but the midsole finishes pretty low, similarly to the outsole. I'm imagning that makes the midsole material more vulernable for drags and cuts. Maybe it can take the abuse, but it's gonna get ugly doing so.

Like 2 weeks after I placed the order, my Jordan V "Fire Red/Silver Tongue" finally arrives. Can't be mad.

Shoe in person gave me a stronger impression. I went for it in hopes of a more refined fit than the Black Metallic I have, and that panned out as expected. This is probably Nike's "Flyleather". Flexes and moves very nice.

I'm pleased with the execution here. Midsole paint looks great too. One ding would be the misaligned "Nike Air" branding. Heard it's common.

There is some question how accurate this is to the OG construction. I personally would take better materials period. I think a lot of us deliberately turn a blind eye to the fact that the premium allure of a Jordan product isn't always fulfilled because nostalgia takes over. Like when someone foreign to the whole...scene just scoffs at it, I can't blame them, because yeah this stuff is overpriced for what it is.

But I do remember hearing how comfortable Jordan's suppsoedly were. I assume that was just hype and from the close-minded perspective of kids and teenagers, but I would hope the product would match the player.

A lot of people said that they got their pairs a couple weeks after ordering, and some are still waiting. The fit on them for me is great. The extra cushioning on the inside of the Fives is what makes them a normal wear pair for going out and about.
