Do you find that DWP works for murky lake and river water?

Yep! I usually only get to fish really clear mountain rivers and only a few times on my local river for smallies so I haven't really had them around murky or dark water. They cut pretty good though so I'd bet they are great for it. Maybe not just on cloudy days .

On this stretch of the Rapid River in South Dakota it was about 2’ deep average and I could see to the bottom most of the day.

Shallow prizm was designed specifically for that.

Maritime works good too

Amber BIP is an incredible shallow water lense as well but that's not easy to find

I think the main reason is that there is usually a bit of shade from trees when fishing in rivers so a slightly less dark lens is slightly better than on the open ocean. ABIP is really hard to find and I've traded off my last set. Grey/Tungsten/bronze polarized work great too
