Looking for advice.

What are the US laws/criteria for cyberstalking/cyberbullying and online process for lodging complaints? Is there any difference between states e.g. Florida, or if they have a criminal record/felon in their history, e.g. previous conviction for stalking?

Does the USA have a centralised website?

Some thieves just don't know when to quit after they've stolen from you.

The internet is still the Wild West. The law is notoriously slow to catch up with technology. Most states have adopted laws for sexual abuse stemming from online interactions. But for run of the mill harassment it's not very clear. All states have different laws. But the ones that do tend to make certain things criminal only protect victims based on age, gender, sexual orientation or race. Someone sending constant messages calling you an ass hole probably aren't going to fall under anything. From what I know a majority of online stalking is going to depend on what the specific state's stalking or harassment laws are. They would apply the old school laws of someone hiding in your bushes waiting on you to get home to what is going on over the interwebs. Which usually won't amount to much.

But being as you don't currently live here, you don't fall under the protections of any particular state to be able to claim anything.

@QLR1 nope. Unless I want to pay 1000s of $$$ to get licensed via reciprocity. Which I don't. I represent 1 state as a state prosecutor. That's enough for me :p
