Difference between generations?

Hey O Fans! I'm pretty new to Oakleys, and trying to hit my 14 posts to be able to shop the marketplace and get my first pair.

One thing I've been seeing a lot of the different generations of X Metals (Juliets in particular). I believe there is 5(?) generations of Juliets and my question is what are the differences?

I know that gens 1-4 have serial numbers printed on them but other than that are there anything different between say the first and the last generations? Also, what years are each generation?

Thank you all for reading and I'm excited to be a part of this awesome community!

Texture and build 'quality': the initial Romeos had some 'rough edges', the Juliets and Double X had an unfinished look to them. These are more desirable, compared to the more polished finishes, for me anyway. The Penny's, Romeo ii, X Squared and Half X, have a similar look. The pinnacle of X Metals: perhaps.....

Your generation sent a dog to the moon. Mine sent a Monkey.
