Stem color Juliet Plasma 1st gen

Hi everyone!

Finally found 2 potential pairs as my first pair of Juliets.

I have some questions though. One of them is a quite small serial number, and it looks lile stems are a bit lighter (color wise) than the frame itself? The stem's serial is the same with the box. I've read threads about issues with paint on the early generation, can this be the case here? I also see some marks close to the lenses on the frame, towards the nose bridge, could it be dirt or is the frame oxidated?

The other pair, which is a later serial, still first gen, seems to have a whole different finish on the frame, almost smooth from what I can tell.
On this one I have an issue with the nose bridge, I see a small dent in it at the fromt, and a weird shape while looking from the top. The 2 photos circled with red. (Last 3 pictures are of this frame)

Both are identically priced and are coming with matching box, coin, paper, etc.

Which one would be a better choice in your opinion? I tend towards the one with lower serial number, however I'm not sure about the stems color being different and the marks on the frame next to the lenses.

So the early gen plasma’s were actually bone plasma, more ruff in texture, the later serials got more shinier and more smooth.

The problem with bone is moisture from skin can stain the finish. Which is why you could have dark spots on the finish. As far as marks go, you’re always going to find flaws in the finish from casting and bumps from dropping from use.

Both pairs don’t look bad at all, myself I do like the bone finish over the smooth. I would go for the lower serial myself

Thanks for sharing these insights!

Just to be clear, on the lower serial, the stems being lighter in color should be alright/expected? The pictures are not great, but they do look "shinier" compared to the frame, especially at the closing points. The full pictures of the frame show it best.

Get both and sell one to me :) they are both ok, do not worry, some issues are normal with early gen frames and are related to both casting and coating process, every pair is different
