Japan is that way for protecting their Culture, China is that way because of their Economical Ideology.

I worked at E.D.S. for General Motors, while they were building Four new plants simultaneously,
Thailand & China were the closest together, but we could barely get any information from the China plant.

Meanwhile, the other two plants, far-far away, shared freely.

Probably worth posting that and a full array of photos of the item in the legit check thread. It seems like it could easily be an issue of corner cutting in manufacturing and shoddy QC, both well-known hallmarks of Luxottica products. Of course, the same issues are hallmarks of counterfeits, so you will need input from the members who know all about authentication for that specific model.

The lens fit fine & everything else seems fine. I had a red pair before that was clearly White under the finish, but perhaps that had been refinished by the former owner. That was was really obvious when you took the lens out.

but that pair, the lens went in REALLY Difficultly, too
might have been the Low-Bridge model, there was no OOxxxx on it
