You’re alright, we all started somewhere, we all have varying levels of experience and knowledge.

It will look great after you replace the rubbers and get the frame serviced. Maybe touch up the scratches on the frame

Saw a good bit of pitting, and what looks to be some casting marks, I’d almost say leave it as is (imo all of that just emphasizes the importance of the X-Metal series, standing up to the testament of time), and just get a tune-up

Oh, and I've always loved the colors @Linegear Japan offers for customizing your frames. They don't fit exactly the same as oem. I believe they are more silicone like.
