Hey!Hey @AusOaks! Not sure if this is the right way to do this but I'm curious what the process is for tuning up old sets? Do you send them to somebody or can you do it yourself? Again sorry if this is a little inappropriate but I'm wondering just so I can know for future reference. Cheers!
I’m going to do these ones myself, it’s a fairly intricate process and requires a pin pushing tool, replacement flex couplers and new pins.
This is a great video from linegear showing the process.
The main risk is pushing the new pins back in and making sure they’re lined up perfectly so you don’t blow the holes out.
All parts are available on their website . (I have no affiliation with them, they’re just highly regarded on here).
There are companies (including linegear) who operate a mail in service as well, where you essentially send them your loose pair and they send them back fully tuned and tightened.
A Google search will show what’s available in your area
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
There’s loads of information on here as well
