Gen 4 Juliet, Plasma, Blue Iridium - First Pair

Hi everyone,

I wish I knew about this forum and it's exchange threads sooner. I think I massively overpaid ($460, after tax and shipping), hoping you all can tell me how I did, how much I may have overpaid by.

The frames seem like they're in good condition (trying not to feel too bad about my purchase haha), but I'm seeing comparable set ups for about $350 shipped from here. Also hoping you all might be able to give me some advice on whether I might need to tune this up, or replace anything.

You should visually know whether the need a tune up if they are loose, won’t grip your head etc . If none of those symptoms are present then as an additional confirmation If you hold them by an Earstem and give them a shake & hear a clicking noise then that’s metal on metal meaning the Rubber flex coupler has deteriorated to the level where replacement is imminent. It’s rare to see an XM not needing a tune up at the age they now are as a minimum (which in the case of yours are about 15 years old)

They may have been done previously obvs…..

If none of those symptoms are present then as an additional confirmation If you hold them by an Earstem and give them a shake & hear a clicking noise then that’s metal on metal meaning the Rubber flex coupler has deteriorated to the level where replacement is imminent. It’s rare to see an XM not needing a tune up at the age they now are as a minimum (which in the case of yours are about 15 years old)

Depends on where you are. Stateside @THE X-MAN is the X-pert if you will
