Hello from Europe

Hello all,

I grew up in Europe alongside Oakley but had neither the means nor the idea to get one pair. They were just part of the show.

Now curiosity brought me back to 90's "organic" design and down the rabbit hole: lovegrove and Peter Yee, which led me to re-discovered Oakley's finest.
I'm now fascinated by the X-metal series and would love to get a pair.

However, now that I have the means, production of course stopped nearly 15 years ago.
Your marvelous X-metal guide allowed me to find this formum and here I am!

I'll be learning as much as I can on the X-metal serie here and try t find a pieces I might acquire.
Currently I think I'll look for Juliet (or maybe romeo? Or X-metal XX??) but I haven't wrapped my head around the various frame colors (titanium vs X-metal?) nor variant (Romeo 1 "2nd gen?").

It's also hard to realize the difference between the different models (Juliet vs X-metal XX?) and colors based on pictures. Even harder to get which model would suits my face best.

I also learned about the Oakley Vault and am waiting in the hope they re-release some models? apparently they did so in Japan with the Juliet?

Yeah between this one and a nice Juliet as well seems it's been been sold already I'm both in a good time because there is quite a few offers and a bad time because I need to wait 14 days before I can do anything on the Exchange part xD

Are there regularly good offer like this or is it quite rare?
