Hi everyone, I’m new to Oakley X-Metals and fairly new to forums, so I’d really appreciate some genuine help.

Thanks so much for your reply.

I assume the first pair is not really an option because of the price?

Also, how would you verify authenticity on something like the Ducati pair? Is there any reliable way to confirm that it is genuinely mint, original, and not altered, repaired, or put together from parts?

Do you think 750 is fair value?

I will try offering 1,050 for the third pair. Does that sound like good value to you?

Which models are rarer and more collectible in general?

Also, do you think one should usually start with the Juliet, Penny, and Romeo, since those feel like the core authentic X-Metal pieces?

I would also like one pair that I can actually wear without having to baby too much, so I would not necessarily need full packaging for that one, as long as it is authentic.

Do you have any suggestions?

Apologies for so many questions, just so curious and also nervous not to miss the boat.

Thanks again.
So once you're a member here long enough, you'll have access to the Marketplace forums. THAT will be your best bet to buy Juliets, not eBay.

I think the going rate for Juliets is somewhere around $500, maybe more if they're complete with everything they came with retail. XX are going for around $750 so that seems a bit high to me for Juliets. Also be forewarned - you seem attracted to the Emerald lens option. I too was IN LOVE with Emerald and was desperately searching for a pair UNTIL I GOT THEM. Once I actually wore them, I realized I love the color of the lens from the outside, but I did NOT love the way they looked while looking THROUGH them. Huge distinction.
One of the reasons why people love X metal, is their durability. Oakley literally ran a pair over with a truck (or a tank or something) just to prove how indestructible they are. They are literally bomb proof. You don't have to baby them. But that's also a reason to wait till you find a pair for a good price and not pay through the nose on eBay for a perceived unicorn.
Also fake X metals - Juliets especially - are relatively easy to discern. Just dig around here, the information is all here in detail. Welcome!
