That's why when you buy a grand new set, make sure you're happy with the colorway...

If not, prepare your undercarriage with lube...

You can also ask for some beaten badly used lenses, for the XS, to practice with.

I don’t have any more bad ones or I would send you a pair, but many folks here do.

Most the aftermarket I’ve found are thinner and flimsier - likely wouldn’t be a good analog.

Maybe I just got lucky, but I didn't have any problems.

But if you are worried about it practicing is a good idea.
