Right now "comfortably" @ 52 pairs - a pair for every week of the year, one for every card in the deck!

Update: Now I'm up to 153, that's 28 more in one year, not too bad. The collection still seems a bit big, but I can't seem to let anything go.

Update: It's been a couple of years and I've added about 19 more pairs, up to 182 pairs total. Still can't let anything go.
