How To Turn Off Emails?

I have gone thru all the settings i can think of to turn off the emails that let you know there has been a response or reply to a thread you've started or participated in, yet i am still receiving emails. What am i missing here?

At the top of each thread you are be notified about, click 'unwatch thread'

If you hover over your username, in the drop down menu, go to "Preferences">"Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...and receive email notifications of replies" should do it.
