I believe everyone here will be made whole from max. I’ve dealt with him about a dozen times because things are hard to find in Australia and custom work here is non existent. All deals went through smooth apart from the last one. I sent him a Romeo that took 6 months and when I got tired of waiting I confronted max and asked for frame or the cost of the frame which was paid to me a week later.

From what I gathered max placed a large order for high end frames from a contact who took a lot of his and others money max had collected and then went to ground. This was compounded by a customiser he worked with taking and keeping frames sent as payment for frames they didn’t receive which is what happened to mine.

I think everyone owed will be fixed up in time it’s just a shame that through embarrassment and robbing Peter to pay Paul this has compounded and maxs reputation has suffered as a result and people are out money and frames.

Just read through this post. Sad. Jelly always treated me good. Picked me up the carbon OO Ichiro Blues from the Japanese Yahoo site. Solid transaction. That was a couple grand.
Hurtful to see so much trust lost when these kinds of things happen.

So maybe the moral of the story is….

Instead of disappearing and tainting an excellent reputation, keep active here explain to anyone concerned whats happened and how you can work to make it right.

He was a admin/moderater i think? Maybe embarrased at the situation he found himself in. Everyone has rough patches in life. Its how you handle it that shows character.
