Surprised sales of these have come to a screeching halt. Figured we would have more pairs sold out by now. However, once they do sell out, seems everyone all of a sudden is clamoring to find the colors they missed out on.

Well the fact that they are not limiting any of the production numbers on these changes things for sure. Really the difference between having or not having a serial number is not a big deal since the glasses themselves are not limited. Numbered and limited would be an entire different story with a sell out of all colors almost immediately. I don’t really like the red so not feeling the urge to buy. If they were limited I likely would have purchased anyways. But maybe that’s just me.

I am missing something I think because these are limited to 50 pairs each unless if somebody has information I don't? After the 50 are gone, they are sold out.

When they run out they will get it the regular sku ones without a serial number. I think they use the old Oakley system ##-### which is so much easier. I will have some extras with serial #'s available. So far a Goldenrod for sure but its on the way and not in hand and I suspect a few more I will acquire coming up.

Remember it took the Gigawatt Matte Black a few months before they sold the first 50 of them and that is the coolest of both Jigs and Gigs IMO!

Yeah the first 50 are numbered but these will be regular stock line up.
Way too many color options to come up with for any company to just keep the same stuff on the shelves. I know there will be a point where most colorways will be exhausted, but that is where new frame styles must be introduced.

Oakley has definitely figured it out by only releasing a certain model for finite amount of time, then discontinuing it. I was sad when the M/Pro M frame was discontinued and it took me a few years to finally warm up to the M2. Flak 2.0 doesn't even have the same appeal as Flak 1.0.

It’s not really a huge secret of marketing. When people stop buying them they stop making them. Typically that’s how it goes unless there is a set limited number. Also production from China (Oakley) it is much more expensive per item for a smaller run. M-E I am not sure how their USA production is set up but perhaps they only made 50 and will assess from there.

It's generally not as hot of a market as some release threads on this forum may make it seem. I see M-E in that "if you know, you know category", but if they keep pushing and executing with the marketing, I believe they're going to be situated well in the sports eyewear industry like the past eyewear project.

But rn I'm in that stage of b*tching over that DHLxUSPS shipping, which I'm not gonna blame M-E for. Ordered on 7/14 and currently projected to get to me 7/23. That's a little wild for an in-state small shipment.
